A distinguished delegation of Italian textile machinery manufacturers will showcase their latest technologies at Techtextil North America 2025, taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, from May 6–8. Organized by the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency, the event will feature 21 ACIMIT member companies exhibiting within a dedicated Italian pavilion.
Participating companies include renowned names such as 4M Plants, Bianco, Bonino, Color Service, Fadis, Flainox, Ima, Marzoli, Monti Antonio, Monti-Mac, Omr, Ramatex, Ramina, Reggiani Macchine, Siltex, Simet, Stalam, Tecnorama, Unitech, Zanfrini, and Zappa. Their presence underscores Italy’s ongoing commitment to advancing innovation in technical textiles and nonwovens.
The United States remains a critical market for Italian textile machinery, ranking as the fourth-largest destination for exports after China, Turkey, and India. In 2024, Italy’s textile machinery exports to the U.S. reached €112 million, reflecting stability despite global economic challenges.
ACIMIT President Marco Salvadè noted that the 2025 edition of Techtextil North America comes at a time of economic uncertainty for the global textile machinery industry. “However, the increased number of Italian companies participating in the fair reflects cautious optimism about the development of projects within the U.S. textile sector,” he said.
The U.S. textile industry, with annual sales exceeding USD 64 billion and a workforce of more than 500,000, is one of the most technologically advanced in the world. In 2024, the country imported nearly USD 1 billion worth of textile machinery. Italian manufacturers continue to see significant opportunities in meeting the growing demand for innovative solutions within the U.S. market.
