Danish dumper manufacturer HG is using its debut at Bauma to further its commitment to 100% electric machinery. Having pioneered electric-only production since 2018 with the launch of a one-tonne electric model, HG is now showcasing two of its latest innovations, including the HG E1000 HT mini dumper.
The E1000 HT boasts impressive features, including up to 12 hours of runtime on a single charge and a quick 90-minute charging time (from 20% to 80%). These capabilities make it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. The dumper’s operating costs are significantly lower than traditional diesel-powered alternatives, with an estimated daily cost of just €1 compared to €30 for diesel-powered dumpers. The E1000 HT also benefits from reduced service costs, providing long-term savings for contractors.
With a load capacity of up to 1 tonne—equivalent to 10 wheelbarrows—the E1000 HT is designed to enhance productivity on construction sites.
Alongside the E1000 HT, HG is also presenting the fully electric E2000, a 2-tonne dumper designed for more demanding tasks. Manufactured in-house at HG’s Danish facilities, the E2000 offers up to 12 hours of runtime on a single charge and can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 2.5 hours. It supports charging via both 400V and 220V EU plugs, or a Type 2 car charger.
The E2000 features high swivel tip functionality, improving unloading precision and versatility. Like the E1000 HT, it also offers reduced noise and emissions, making it an eco-friendly option for the construction industry.
Nikolaj Birkerod, CEO of HG, emphasized the company’s commitment to the electric future of construction. “The future of construction is electric—not just for the planet, but for the people working in the industry every day,” Birkerod stated. He described the E1000 HT as a “win-win” for contractors and workers, providing a healthier, quieter work environment with zero emissions, while also delivering significant long-term cost savings.
Birkerod also praised the E2000 as a “true breakthrough” in electric construction equipment, highlighting its energy efficiency, exceptional performance, and reduced operating costs.
