Proventia Unveils New LFP-Based Battery Pack for Heavy Machinery

by Annie

Proventia, a leading supplier of emission control systems, thermal insulation components, and batteries, has introduced its latest innovation: the Proventia Energy LFP-based battery pack.

Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology is proving to be a cost-effective and durable choice for heavy machinery, offering long-lasting performance, the company said. The high-energy, high-voltage battery systems are designed to provide continuous operation over extended periods, making them ideal for demanding industrial applications.

Highlighting the product’s features, Proventia emphasized its exceptional engineering and high-quality European manufacturing. The company sources its cells from Morrow Batteries, a renowned Norwegian cell producer, ensuring top-tier performance.

According to Proventia, the LFP chemistry within the battery pack guarantees consistent energy delivery, which is crucial for heavy-duty equipment such as work machines, wheel loaders, and tractors. The battery pack is versatile, suitable for both fully electric and hybrid installations.

Additionally, the Proventia Energy battery pack boasts an impressive lifespan, with over 6,500 charge cycles, and operates efficiently across a broader temperature range (-20°C to +55°C) compared to the company’s lithium titanate oxide (LTO) batteries. Notably, the LFP pack can fully utilize its capacity, optimizing performance.

Proventia also highlighted the environmental advantages of the LFP technology, as it contains no nickel, cobalt, or manganese, making it a more sustainable option than LTO-based alternatives.

The company will showcase the new Proventia Energy battery pack at the Bauma trade show in Munich, a premier event for construction machinery, building material machines, mining equipment, and other heavy-duty industrial technologies.
