Trimble® (Nasdaq: TRMB) has named Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. as the first U.S.-based Trimble Technology Outlet, marking a significant step in the company’s civil construction distribution strategy. The partnership allows Kirby-Smith Machinery to sell and support Trimble’s grade control technology for customers operating Komatsu, Takeuchi, and Hamm earthmoving equipment.
Through this new outlet, contractors can now purchase Trimble technology directly from Kirby-Smith, including the Trimble Works Subscription. This subscription provides a flexible, predictable payment option with benefits such as software and firmware maintenance, easy upgrades, and seamless access to Trimble’s advanced technology.
“Kirby-Smith Machinery’s designation as the first Trimble Technology Outlet in the U.S. is an exciting milestone for our efforts to expand access to cutting-edge field technology,” said Ron Bisio, Senior Vice President of Trimble’s Field Systems. “By making it easier for contractors to equip any machine type with Trimble’s solutions, we aim to enhance jobsite productivity and give users a competitive edge.”
Dennis Cox, Director of Smart Construction at Kirby-Smith, highlighted the increased demand from customers for more straightforward access to Trimble technology. “Our customers will benefit not only from the technology itself but also from the subscription-based purchase option, which makes it a flexible and scalable investment,” Cox said.
Trimble’s grade control systems integrate sensors, software, and automation features, designed to enhance operational productivity. These systems enable more precise control over earthmoving equipment, improving accuracy, safety, and equipment longevity while reducing fuel consumption and wear-and-tear. The collaboration with Kirby-Smith aims to provide contractors with the tools they need to boost their operational efficiency and bottom line.
