Stork Plastic Machinery B.V. (Stork IMM) has introduced a new line of all-electric injection moulding machines, enhancing sustainability without compromising performance. The machines will debut at the K Show in Düsseldorf, Germany, this October.

The all-electric range boasts reduced energy consumption, an upgraded rack-and-pinion drive system, and customizable process capabilities, catering to various applications in thin-wall food packaging and industrial containers.

Stork IMM has already supplied its new electric solutions to major packaging manufacturers across Europe, with the company reporting “significant global interest” and a strong pipeline of orders.

Designed for producing food-grade thin-wall packaging from polyolefins (PE and PP), the machines are also suitable for closures, tubs, cups, flowerpots, paint pails, and buckets.

Key Features of Stork’s All-Electric Injection Moulding Machines:

Flexible, customizable configurations with clamping units from 250 to 700 tons and screw sizes ranging from 45 to 84 mm.

Achieves 15% greater energy savings compared to hybrid alternatives.

Operates at high injection speeds, ideal for thin-wall packaging.

Features a robust rack-and-pinion drive for enhanced durability, efficiency, and extended lifespan.

Provides stronger clamp and injection unit forces than traditional ball bearing and spindle drives.

Includes a braking energy feedback system that reinjects recovered energy into the customer’s grid.

“This machine extension satisfies growing customer demands for high-performance injection moulding machines that meet sustainability goals for the packaging market,” said Gert Boers, CEO of Stork IMM. “This development reaffirms our commitment to delivering the latest technology that will support a circular economy.”

With rising global interest in sustainable manufacturing solutions, Stork IMM’s new all-electric range positions the company at the forefront of energy-efficient injection moulding technology.
