Drydocks World is continuing to upgrade its Dubai facilities to offer advanced solutions for shiprepair and conversion customers. The latest addition to its pipe shop is the CH 320 CNC bending machine, designed to boost precision, efficiency, and fabrication capabilities. The machine can bend pipes ranging from 6in (DN150) to 12in (DN300) with thicknesses between 7mm and 17mm.
“This new investment enhances our ability to execute high-volume conversion, EPC, and ship repair projects by streamlining fabrication, reducing lead times, and increasing overall efficiency, allowing us to deliver multiple projects simultaneously with greater speed and precision,” said Capt. Rado Antolovic, CEO of Drydocks World. “Moreover, we are opening our advanced pipe bending services to external clients across the maritime, energy, and other industrial sectors.”
The CH 320 CNC bending machine is expected to increase productivity by 5-10%, strengthening in-house capabilities. “These enhancements allow us to execute complex projects with greater speed and accuracy, reinforcing our ability to meet growing industry demands while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance,” added Antolovic. “As Drydocks World continues to invest in innovation, we remain focused on optimising our infrastructure and pushing the boundaries of operational excellence. This latest upgrade is another step toward ensuring success from state-of-the-art engineering solutions that drive efficiency and reliability across every project.”
Additionally, Drydocks World has inaugurated a new automatic shot blasting and shop priming facility, further streamlining operations and improving turnaround times. This investment demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its services and meeting the evolving needs of its customers.
