Motorenfabrik Hatz and Hatz Americas Inc. have broadened their power generation offerings, introducing new AC and DC mobile diesel generators tailored for the recreational vehicle (RV) and industrial sectors. These innovative solutions will deliver prepackaged, sound-attenuated systems for reliable power generation and hybrid battery charging.
This expansion follows the recent acquisition by Motorenfabrik Hatz of rights to products, patents, drawings, and inventory of RV generators previously manufactured by Dometic Italy SpA. Hatz has been supplying diesel engines for these RV generators since 2002, contributing over 30,000 engines to Dometic.
Production of the 1B30VE engines, which power the new generators, will remain at Hatz’s primary engine plant in Ruhstorf, Germany. However, final assembly of the generator sets will be handled at Hatz’s newly established production facility in Italy.
Mike Hartoonian, president and CEO of Hatz Americas Inc., expressed enthusiasm about bringing the generator models entirely in-house. He emphasized that the new AC version guarantees a 50-state compliant model for the RV market and its adjacent sectors. Additionally, the new DC versions will reinforce Hatz’s position as a leader in diesel-electric hybrid applications.
The first product to be introduced is the GD3200-120 Silent Pack with an RV package, followed by the BD3000-56 Silent Pack, designed for 28V or 56V hybrid battery charging systems.
