UK-based polythene and plastic sheeting manufacturer CPR Manufacturing has ceased operations after entering voluntary liquidation in November 2024, citing liabilities as the reason for closure.
According to filings on Companies House, the UK’s official register of companies, the Alfreton-based firm opted to wind up operations following financial difficulties. Founded in 2000, the facility specialized in recycling and extrusion, producing polythene, linear, and compostable films for sectors including industrial, retail, local authority, and healthcare.
Asset advisory firm Walker Singleton is conducting an online auction of the company’s equipment from its Dunsford Road facility. The auction features 400 lots, including polythene film extrusion lines, plastic recycling machines, bag welding equipment, and office furnishings.
Among the machinery listed for sale is an Erema RGA-100E polyethylene recycling machine with a starting bid of GBP 2,000 and Maguire blender machinery starting at GBP 250.
Companies House documents estimate total assets for preferential creditors at GBP 171,751, comprising GBP 20,500 in plant machinery and GBP 110,000 in stock.
